Terms & Conditions
The terms on which Syndew Atelier accepts and produces embroidery and monogram orders.
These terms apply to every quote, order and piece of work Syndew Atelier ("we", "us", "our") provides. By placing an order with us you agree to them. Syndew Atelier is based at Unit 24, Winter Plaza, 57 Ogudu Road, Ogudu, Lagos, Nigeria.
Quotes and orders
Quotes are based on the garment, artwork and quantity discussed and are valid for 30 days unless we say otherwise. An order is confirmed once you approve the artwork and pay any agreed deposit. We may decline work that is unlawful, infringes someone else's rights, or that we cannot produce to our standard.
Approval and samples
For most work we stitch a sample or share a digitised proof for approval before a full run. Once you approve it, production proceeds on that basis, so please check spelling, initials, colours and placement carefully. We are not responsible for errors in artwork or details you have approved.
Artwork, logos and intellectual property
When you send us a name, crest, logo or design, you confirm that you own it or have permission to use it, and you accept responsibility for any claim that arises from our using it on your instruction. You keep ownership of your own artwork. Digitised embroidery files we create remain ours unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Customer-supplied garments
We take great care with items you supply, but we cannot accept liability for faults in the garment itself, for example fabric that puckers, shrinks or dye that runs. We will always advise if a garment looks unsuitable for embroidery before we begin.
Pricing and payment
Prices are in Nigerian Naira. Agreed deposits are payable up front, with the balance due before collection or delivery unless we agree otherwise in writing. Online card payments are handled securely by our payment provider. Bulk and account terms are available by arrangement.
Turnaround and delivery
Turnaround depends on the size and complexity of the order and is confirmed when you book. Rush work may be available by arrangement. Delivery timelines are estimates; we are not liable for delays caused by couriers or events outside our control.
Quality and remakes
If work is faulty or does not match the sample you approved, tell us within 7 days of receiving it and we will repair or remake the affected pieces. This does not cover normal variation in handmade embroidery, or changes of mind on personalised goods.
Changes and cancellations
Because our work is personalised and made to order, items that have entered production cannot usually be cancelled or refunded. Talk to us as early as possible if something needs to change and we will help where we can.
Liability
Our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State.
